European Beech
(Fagus sylvatica)
Bad Endorf, Deutschland
Now we are getting to the northern climes of this winterly caravan route: in Germany, on the edge of the grove south-east of Hofham in Bad Endorf next to the well-known Chiemgau-core Rosenheim we have applied by a copper beech for a Silent Visit. This European Beech (Fagus sylvatica) with a circumference of estimated 7.6 meters, a height of 37 meters and a ripe old age of about 280 years is a splendid example. While this beauty is nestled comfortably in her deciduous and needle-proned neighborhood in summer, she juts out her extremely straightforward, distinctive character with a lush crown unmistakably apparent in the wintertime.
